How it works

- See the shape of your spend — Charts by month, category, and payee. Filter the view, set budgets, and export when you need a report.
- Upgrade only if you want banks or cloud — Pro unlocks Plaid bank sync and optional cloud backup. Free stays local-only in this browser.

FAQ
Is my spending data stored on your servers?
On Free, no — your ledger stays in this browser (localStorage + IndexedDB). Pro defaults to the same local-only model; cloud backup is off until you turn it on in Account.
Do I need to connect my bank with Plaid?
No. Free works with CSV/Excel import and manual purchases. Plaid bank and card sync is a Pro option.
What file formats can I import?
CSV and Excel (.xlsx) exports from banks, credit cards, and tools like PayPal. Map columns once, preview rows, then merge into your ledger.
Is WatchMySpend financial advice?
No. It is a spending visualizer and personal ledger tool — not tax, investment, or financial advice.
Can I export my data?
Yes. PDF and Excel exports are generated in your browser and saved to Downloads. Clearing site data removes the local library.
